Adriana is the principal of Bellywood & began belly dancing in 1985 in Adelaide & since moving to Hobart in 1991 has established Tasmania's first & longest running school dedicated to to the beautiful art of Belly Dance. Originally known as ADRIANA'S Belly Dance Arts Centre, Bellywood aims to present Belly Dance as an art form while honouring and respecting the cultures from which it has originated.

People join classes for many reasons including  increasing flexibility & fitness, socialising with like minded people, wearing  & making exotic & sparkling costumes as well as learning of the culture & history of the art. Benefits may include increased self confidence & well being.

Adriana's goal is to have even the most unco-ordinated of students leave class with a sense of achievment. Her students have lots of fun in class & often choose to socialise together after class is over. Seeing women from all walks of life form friendships is very pleasing & Adriana feels priviledged to have met them.

As well as regular dance classes, Bellywood offers workshops with visiting guest teachers,    shopping temptations, costuming how to's, basic Drumming skills, floorshows & dancers available to entertain you at your special event.

NEW - Classes in SNUG from February 10th. Day time class Mum's welcome to bring their kids as there is a safe, locked, outdoor play area. Also evening class - no kids unless enrolled.
