returns to Hobart
One day workshop on Sunday 16th May 2010
A Workshop with Zeyna (winner of the bellydancer of the universe competition 2001)
A stunning Egyptian choreography will be taught by Zeyna as unveiled in the Cairo Caravan Carnival 2009.
Zeyna has been living and dancing in Los Angeles since 1989 and studied with legends of the dance coming over from Egypt and masters of the dance in U.S.A.
Originally from Adelaide you will find her technique easy to decipher yet unique to her expert and accomplished style.
In her workshop, Zeyna will present her veil dance opener to the magical melodies of "ya msafer whadeck". It's classical and romantic. Whilst down tempo, its high on artistry and fluidity incorporating clever,sinewy combinations.
Time permitting we may finish the workshop with a short,fun drum piece .
Zeyna was last in Tasmania in 2008 following a number of workshops here in the 90's. Her workshops are always popular & filled with information for belly dance enthusiasts.
