Our next hafla is Monday 2nd August. Read more on What's On.
All students are invited to perform at the end of term social gathering, known as a "Hafla" (means party). The Hafla is a fun gathering of students & supporters of belly dance. You have the opportunity to share what you have learned with your classmates & friends. "Having a go" will give you a real sense of achievment. We always need an audience to applaud so if you aren't comfortable with the idea of dancing in front of people Adriana will not pressure you to do so but we will expect you to cheer us on!
On occasion the Bellywood drummers add to the atmosphere with their "doums" & "teks"!
If you wish to participate, Adriana will lead you through the dances that have been taught in class, giving you an opportunity to dress up & show the new skills you have acquired.
The skills Adriana passes on have enabled a number of students, both past & present, to develop to the stage where they are now performers & teachers locally & interstate. Maybe one day this will be you!
